Since the reef is in a depth of water that does not provide an area to stand; we have options available to accommodate those who consider themselves beginners. Life jackets are always available on all of our tours and we also have a floating rope tethered to the back of the boat which allows you to float comfortably and view the reef safely.
If you feel you need more information for a beginners level, we recommend calling us ahead of time so we can be sure to have to boat prepped to suit your needs.

Looe Key is home to over 150 different species of fish and is approximately 200 yards long by 800 yards wide, giving you an abundance of area to explore. The water is typically pristine and clear, allowing for great visibility with a maximum depth of 30 feet and most shallow at 7 feet.

What should I expect on the day of my Looe Key trip?
You will receive a confirmation text from us in the hours prior to your trip. This will include details specific to our location, parking, and meet up instructions. If we have inclement weather, we will be in contact with you to discuss other options. After a brief overview of the boat and safety information we will embark on your journey.
What should I bring to my tour?
Pack a bag for the trip to include; towels, sunscreen, cameras, sunglasses, and any snacks or drinks you would like for the duration of your trip. The boat is equipped with a large cooler that will be iced down and stocked with bottled water. You may bring any snacks or drinks that you would like to add to the cooler.
How does pricing work?
Our pricing is per private boat, not per person. Each boat is reserved for your group only and can carry a maximum of 6 passengers. This gives your captain the flexibility to adjust the route, avoid crowded areas, and choose the best spots for your group based on the day’s weather, tides, and conditions.
For larger groups, we can run 2 boats for up to 12 passengers total, with a maximum of 6 passengers per boat.
