Looe Key Snorkeling Tour
Looe Key Reef is a protected reef inside the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary—specifically the
Looe Key Sanctuary Preservation Area. It’s a classic “spur-and-groove” coral reef system (coral ridges with sandy channels in between),
and it’s one of the most well-known snorkel and dive areas in the Lower Keys.
On our private tour, you’ll take a boat ride out to Looe Key (roughly 6 miles offshore from the Lower Keys area), then snorkel multiple reef spots so your group can experience the best water for the day.
All ages are welcome, and your captain will customize the pace and the stops around conditions like wind, tides, and visibility.
Expect clear-water reef scenery and a chance to see common Keys reef fish—like parrotfish, yellowtail snapper, and more—depending on the day.
Lobster Charters
We offer seasonal snorkeling lobster charters in the Florida Keys. On a lobster trip, you’ll swim and snorkel while searching for live lobsters in the shallows.
Guests free-dive (breath-hold) and use a net and tickle stick to catch lobsters.
We choose lobster locations for all skill levels—from beginner-friendly spots to more challenging areas—based on conditions and your comfort in the water.
Sandbar Trips
Our private sandbar trips explore shallow, clear-water stops across the Florida Keys—convenient to Marathon, the Lower Keys, and Key West.
Your captain will choose the best sandbars and island stops for the day based on wind, tides, visibility, and what your group wants to do.

We are Matt & Jenn Parramore — owners and captains at Saltwater Seafari.
Our adventure in the Florida Keys started long before the business. Matt spent many summers here with his family—lobstering, snorkeling, and exploring the islands—and those memories stayed with us.
In 2018, we came down to the Keys for a reset and fell in love with it all over again.
That’s when Saltwater Seafari was born: to share the Florida Keys we love through private boat tours, snorkeling trips, and sandbar adventures with the families who come here to make memories of their own.
